Brass profiles: describe the cross-section clearly
For interiors, furniture or a decorative detail, the cross-section drawing matters as much as the name.

Identify the eight shapes
The catalogue shows round, square, hexagonal, oval, U, L, T and flat sections. Distinguish hollow tube from solid bar. Give both axes for an oval, and outside dimensions plus required wall thickness for a tube.
Add a dimensioned sketch
Provide widths, heights, thicknesses, required length and number of pieces. A sketch distinguishes U from L and shows orientation. U, L and T dimensions require confirmation; no stock range is assumed.
Explain the intended result
Describe joining method and finish. Catalogue photographs are illustrative; final appearance depends on material and fabrication. Confirm grade, tolerances and length before ordering where your project requires them.
