Brass sheet and discs: specifying thickness and size
A clear brass enquiry separates material thickness, format dimensions and quantity. Use this checklist for metalwork, cutting and decorative projects.

Read the published ranges
SONATAB lists 1000 × 2000 mm sheets with thickness from 0.4 to 1.2 mm, and discs from 80 to 1000 mm diameter with the same thickness range. A range does not mean every combination is stocked: confirm diameter and thickness together.
Thickness depends on the job
Final shape, forming depth, required rigidity and workshop process all matter. There is no single thickness suitable for every metalwork project. When replacing existing material, provide its reference, a sample or measurements rather than only a photograph.
Keep dimensions and units clear
For a disc, specify diameter and thickness in mm. For sheet, give length × width × thickness and the number of sheets. For rolls, specify width, thickness, quantity and unit. Wire diameter is different from the overall diameter of its coil.
